We would like to inform you of a new law relating to the entrance of foreigners onto the territory of the CR. On the basis of this law, police officers at border crossings are entitled to ask foreign citizens to fill in a so-called border document, which must include two photographs. The police retain one part of this document and foreign citizens must hand the other in when they leave the country. No visa is issued at the border any more. This new measure was drafted in accordance with EU regulations.
In addition to this, the previous regulation remains valid according to which visitors entering the country must prove that they have a sufficient sum of money in their possession to cover the planned length of their stay in the CR.
For these reasons we would recommend all participants in the conference to contact the Czech consulates in their country and to find out the precise conditions governing their stay in the CR.
